As part of this commitment, we are excited to announce the launch of a new feature: Temporary Greetings. This feature is designed to provide your callers with important, timely information in a way that is simple and efficient.
What is the Temporary Greetings Feature?
Temporary Greetings allow users to create custom voice messages that are played to callers when they dial an inbound phone number you have ported to Indiana Telephone Network. The process is incredibly user-friendly: simply type in the text you want the caller to hear, and our advanced system converts that text into speech with a computer-generated voice that sounds remarkably human.
This feature is perfect for situations where you need to inform your callers of urgent updates, such as unexpected closures due to weather, holiday hours, or any other critical announcements. The greeting will continue to play for your callers until you decide to remove it. How to Use Temporary Greetings
Using this feature is straightforward. Follow these steps:
- Log into the Indiana Telephone Network Portal: Visit https://portal.itnphones.com and log in with your credentials.
- Navigate to Temporary Greetings: Once logged in, locate the “Temporary Greetings” option on the left side of the screen.
- Create Your Greeting: Type the desired message into the text box provided and click update. The system will automatically convert this text into a voice message.
- Activate Your Greeting: Your custom greeting will begin playing to all callers immediately. It will remain active until you log back in, delete the text, and update the settings.
